Why New Zealand ?

The New Zealand education system is highly regarded internationally recognized and has high academic standards.  All New Zealand universities provide an internationally recognized education, with strict quality controls over teaching. New Zealand is not only famous for its safe learning environment and quality education, but also for its fabulous natural scenery, rich variety of cultural activities and friendly people. New Zealand produces top graduates who can take their place with confidence in the international arena in many disciplines. All international education programs are considered “accredited” and are closely monitored by the New Zealand Government.  Students can apply with spouse. Genuine students have an opportunity to apply even if refused for visa from any other country. New-Zealand gives opportunity for 3 years Post Study Work Permit (PSWP) to international students who graduate from New-Zealand colleges & University. It also offers opportunity for Permanent Residency (PR).

New Zealand Education System

The New Zealand education system is based on several guiding principles including: culturally appropriate early childhood services; primary and secondary education; equitable and affordable access to tertiary education; and quality assured and portable education qualifications.

There are 8 Government funded Universities providing undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. Apart from that A popular option is to study at one of the 16 government funded Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics They offer a wide variety of programmes which are both academically and vocationally focused.

Courses are available for academic, professional and vocational studies at New Zealand institutions – universities, polytechnics and institutes of technology, colleges of education, secondary schools and private training establishments.

The IELTS/ TOEFL / PTE Test is preferred for New Zealand institutions to measure the level of English of international students seeking to study in New Zealand.

Level of courses:

Diplomas- Level 5 & 6

Bachelor’s degree & graduate certificate/ diploma- Level 7

PGD/Certificates, Bachelor’s degree with honours- Level 8

Master’s degree- level 9

Intakes:

Feb, July & November

Few private institutions even have rolling intakes.

Student Work Rights

Funds requirement for New Zealand Student Visa

If the course duration is less than or equal to one academic year, then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for the entire course duration +NZ$ 15,000 towards living expenses in New Zealand.

If the course duration is longer than one academic year then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for 1 academic year+ NZ$ 15,000 per annum towards living expenses in New Zealand+ payment plan to show the student has access to funds and has ability to meet the rest  of the course cost and living expenses in New Zealand.
